ABOUT US

Twins on a Tree is a German-British rock and indie pop group formed in Berlin, Germany, in 2017.

The group consists of the identical twins, Mark Widdowson (vocals, lead guitar) and Stefan "Stevie" Widdowson (vocals, bass). Their friends Sebastian Pan (acoustic guitar, backing vocals) and Marco Teriet (drums) joined the band in 2021.

THE TWINS

Mark and Stevie started playing their instruments at the age of 13 after their older brother Simon Widdowson asked to join his rock band. Marked by 12 years of band and countless gigs in German cities, Mark and Stevie didn't give up their passion after the band broke up and founded a recording studio in Berlin Kreuzberg and produced bands from Berlin.

Their desire to make their own music became more and more difficult to suppress over time. So the twins wrote 50 songs in January/February 2017, selected their favourites and produced them. A very intense process for the brothers that should last for 3 years and it brought about a change in the consciousness of the musicians. Although it wasn’t originally planned, Stevie became the second lead singer because his demos emotionalised many different people. The band defined their sound and the twins went public as street musicians.
